Pocketed is hiring a Growth Coordinator to join our rapidly growing software startup! Pocketed helps businesses across North America easily access billions of dollars in free money (aka grants and tax credits). We're a female-founded, female-led company with a bold vision: to give entrepreneurs the power to create and build businesses without financial barriers. Today, more than 5,000 businesses use Pocketed to access grant funding and tax credits to extend their runway and grow their business. Our Growth Coordinator role is ideal for a student who wants an immersive startup experience and the opportunity to support all functions of our Growth Team: marketing, partnerships and customer success! Key Responsibilities: We're a startup, which means that the boundaries of your role are likely to blur. Depending on your interests, strengths, and the needs of Pocketed, you'll work on some or all projects below. Not sure if you’re qualified for everything on this list? To date, Pocketed has hired over a dozen interns, and we are committed to supporting your learning and development. If you’re confident you can contribute to some of these projects, please apply! Social Media Content Creation : Creating, writing, editing, and sharing social content that builds meaningful B2B audience connections and achieves results. This includes writing compelling captions and creating on-brand graphics! Social Media Management : Audience engagement is key! Scheduling social media content through Buffer and engaging with our digital audience through social media, collaborations, and partnerships. Content Creation : Writing blog content, including conducting blog interviews and case studies, and assisting peers with publishing blogs that follow SEO best practices. Based on what you hear from our users, you could help maintain FAQ resources and craft compelling emails - anything and everything to support our customers! Public Relations : Leading the charge with building our reputation! This can include identifying potential partners, submitting PR pitches, establishing our presence on emerging platforms like Clubhouse and more. We want your ideas! Partner Development : Prospecting new partner and vendor leads, and engaging with our partners (accelerators, incubators, Chambers of Commerce, professional associations and more!) and vendors (grant writers, lending organizations, tax consultants, etc.) by email, video meetings, and phone to develop relationships. Customer Support + Success : Building and nurturing relationships with the businesses that use Pocketed. This means supporting users to identify the right programs to achieve their goals through live chat, email and virtual office hours, supporting their applications, and connecting them with the right vendors in our marketplace. Product Development : You will engage directly with Pocketed users, vendors, partners, and more to gather feedback and collaborate with our technical team to drive product development. Learning & Development : Staying fresh is critical! Researching our market, customers, and competitors to identify opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses to inform our growth strategy. This could include listening to podcasts, attending webinars, reading articles and more! Your Qualifications: You approach the world with curiosity and desire to learn. You are proactive and resourceful. If you don’t know an answer, you will find it! You're relentlessly solution-focused, dedicated to solving complex problems. You love to iterate and experiment. The pace, energy, and uncertainty of startup get you excited! You’re pursing a post-secondary degree, likely from a business, marketing, web design, or related program (though we’re open to other programs – the most important thing is a passion for helping others and problem solving). You’re interested in the world of entrepreneurship, startups, grants, and helping businesses succeed! You have experience creating content, including social media captions, blog posts, articles and tools for B2B audiences; sales prospecting and qualifying; partnership development; public speaking; and/or customer service. You give a damn about creating impact and delivering experiences that delight, so you want to be part of (and contribute to) a performance-oriented culture. You understand that culture is only as strong as the sum of its parts, and you’re all in on contributing positively. You have experience with marketing technology, including all the usual suspects: web design (Wordpress, HTML, CSS), email marketing (MailChimp, EMMA), social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook), scheduling platforms (Buffer), design programs (Canva, InDesign), and CRMs (Hubspot, Zendesk). You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, professional maturity, and polish. You’re radically independent, resourceful, and a driven problem-solver ( Strong attention to detail & highly task oriented, you take ownership for your work and get the job done right! You are flexible and agile, adapting quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As we help our customers get grant funding, we do the same for our business! This role will be funded by the Student Work Placement Program, and only candidates who meet all of the eligibility criteria below may be considered : Either a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Must be a currently enrolled student in an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution. The student cannot be an international student with a work permit.
