Job Summary The mission of the FoodBuy Executive Chef is to drive adherence and support implementation of sourcing and category projects. Leverage tactical content from finance, category development and sourcing in support of Culinary Adherence. This position is focused on understanding and analyzing purchasing intelligence to extract key elements to effectively communicate these insights to our customers. The FoodBuy Executive Chef, ensures compliance, Quality Assurance, and business partner support. Now, if you were to come on board as our Foodbuy Executive Chef , we’d ask you to do the following for us: Develop and initiate action plans to improve customer compliance to purchasing programs and to support conversion initiatives. Work between Category Development Managers, Sourcing Managers, and the Account Management teams to deliver operational goals. Support Foodbuy Sourcing projects with data analytics, validating business needs and specification, confirming product quality and attributes. Support product match and mapping activities as requested. Lead customers in establishing and executing strategic purchasing initiatives to drive compliance and purchasing revenues through Managed Order Guides (MOGs). Coordinate samples and gather feedback from customers working directly with manufacturers. Assist customers in establishing and executing strategic purchasing initiatives to drive compliance and purchasing revenues. Ability to interact fittingly within all levels of an organization from Executive to line level associates. Drive key customer business success by consulting with the customer on all aspects of culinary operations by using on-site visits, customer data analysis and established industry standards by using culinary and operations expertise to provide recommendations for improvement. Coordinate internal & external product cutting and showings including full product analysis and detailed documentation of review. Travel will be required to support FoodBuy Members and Cuttings. Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role: Culinary degree or a bachelor’s with a minimum of 4 years food service experience. Exercise organizational skills, supporting multiple project tasks within timelines. Strong professional presentation and interpersonal skills combined with good verbal and written communication skills. Energy to operate at pace in a rapidly changing environment and manage multiple agendas. Strong understanding of foodservice distribution and procurement practices is preferred. Networking skills: ability to collaborate with multiple work groups. Proficiency with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Maintain and contribute to the development of the Compass/ Foodbuy image by representing the company in a professional and positive manner.
