Outdoor mecca for outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and fishing Wide range of cultural events including Wine festival, Film festival, Salute to the Sockeye Festival, Kamloops comedy fest to name a few Amazing climate – 3rd mildest climate in a non-coastal city in Canada Distance to Vancouver by car: 4 hours; distance to Kelowna by car: 2h15m Why work for Aramark at Thompson Rivers University Work-life balance Slow summer season and December Holiday closure Competitive Base Salary Health & Dental Benefits with no waiting period Employer Matched Pension Program Apply to this job if you: Demonstrate a passion for guest service and creating exceptional guest experiences Pride yourself on building relationships with guests and your team Have strong operational experience Have a passion for coaching and mentoring and are comfortable delegating tasks Enjoy leading a diverse team in a fast-paced environment Are able to engage others and develop high performance within your team Job Responsibilities Coordinate with FSD - Hiring, Layoffs, Terminations Coordinate with FSD to meet targets (Revenue, Food, Labour for all locations) Manage / Train / follow-up with all Supervisors Managing the Training Schedule for any new upcoming promotions Coordinate with Supervisor that Food Safety /REV Standards are compliance Maintain safety standards at the location Handle Staff questions/concerns – and work with FSD for disciplinary actions Resolve Customer Complaints Coordinate with Franchisee District Managers for any store related training, promotions, and any additional support that is required to run operations smoothly. Maintain proper Payroll Procedures Ensure that a quality service is provided to all our Guests Resolve day to day Operational issues Other Duties Assigned by Food Service Director At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. Qualifications Excel at task delegation and work planning Able to organize, compose, and review daily financial reports Manage operational standards and team members Experience in Scheduling, Staff Positioning, & Conflict Resolution Customer service background preferred Previous experience in Quick Service, Clearview an asset (TIMS applications/ systems) Friendly and outgoing Positive attitude Previous management experience required Food Safe certification is also preferred, but we can help facilitate if need be.
