Description:
We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team in the sunny Turks and Caicos Caribbean Islands, to assist in providing our business with accurate financial information to help our leaders make decisions that keep us operating at our optimum. This position requires a business-minded, operational go-getter. Basic Function: General accounting including maintaining and preparing payments, monitor accounts payable, preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet schedules and ledgers and account and bank reconciliations, monthly closings and account analysis. Principal Accountabilities: General ledger operations; preparing journal entries Monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts Draw up monthly financial reports Administer accounts receivable and accounts payable Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts Assist with payroll administration Account/bank reconciliations Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures Key Competencies: Attention to detail and accuracy Planning and organizing Scheduling and monitoring Communication skills Problem analysis and problem-solving skills Initiative Team Work Confidentiality Desired Qualifications: University degree in accounting or equivalent CPA designation considered a strong asset Knowledge of accounting principles and practices Knowledge of finance principles Knowledge of financial reporting Technical accounting skills Previous experience in general accounting Proficiency in Quickbooks is a necessity If you believe you have these qualities, then take the initiative and send over a cover letter and your resume.
