YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE : Manage individual case files within a personalized case management setting, aimed at aiding customer rehabilitation. Assess clients' needs and collaborate with healthcare providers to develop customized goals, milestones, and timelines aimed at assisting individuals in managing both the physical and psychological impacts of their accident. Guiding customers through their recovery process, understanding their requirements, and coordinating their insurance benefits Facilitate harmonious collaboration with external healthcare providers, facilities, and community stakeholders. Supervise and implement customized recovery or care plans for each client, improving British Columbians' quality of life. Proficiently organize and maintain all relevant documentation related to customer claims, ensuring files are kept up to date and essential details are accurately recorded to facilitate the collection of customer debts. Oversee diverse case portfolios, effectively coordinating and managing multiple care providers, service entities, and stakeholders involved in supporting the customer on the road to recovery. Engage with customers through telephone communications and by traveling to alternate locations, when required, such as healthcare facilities or customers' homes, as required. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE: An undergraduate degree or diploma in a related field such as Kinesiology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Disability Management Professional experience in disability management or vocational rehabilitation, or an equivalent combination of education and direct experience in customer recovery, vocational rehabilitation, or disability case management Several years of direct proactive recovery/disability case management with a portfolio of customers, along with their families, who have sustained severe and/or catastrophic injuries, including direct collaboration with all Health Care Providers throughout the entire duration of their rehabilitation. Meet the provincially legislated requirements of the Criminal Records Review Act (CRRA) Demonstrating comprehension of catastrophic trauma and the enduring psychological impact of long-term disability on mental well-being. Ability to build lasting, trusting relationships with customers and their families, prioritizing their preferences, needs, and values to achieve recovery goals. Proven leadership skills to coordinate and lead meetings of relevant internal and external stakeholders Detail-oriented and organized, able to handle multiple files and tasks on a daily basis Ability and willingness to travel to alternate locations, including healthcare facilities or customers’ homes when required Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills *** ABOUT WORKLAND Workland is proud to have been mandated to assist our client in the recruitment process for this great job opportunity.
