Reporting to the Supervisor, Mine Maintenance the Gasfitter-Pipefitter is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting and repair of appliances, equipment, and accessories in various sectors of the mine. To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills who can work cross functionally, able to work independently and as part of a team and has a willingness to learn and grow. Our employees receive a competitive compensation package that includes, but is not limited to, base earnings plus the following benefits: Two Annual Bonus Plans Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage Retirement Package Healthy Lifestyle Account Annual Performance Bonus’ Trades Retention Bonus Relocation Assistance Employee Share Purchase Plan Responsibilities: Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Perform regular preventive maintenance, diagnostics and complete repairs on HVAC units, boilers and water and waste disposal systems Troubleshoot all system problems including disassemble and reassemble of system components Maintain, create and record work order records Qualifications: Valid Interprovincial Red Seal certification in any trade and minimum of Class B Gas Fitting certification Willingness to pursue a certification as a Class A Gasfitter Valid driver’s license Working knowledge of basic computer systems (Microsoft Office®) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications Small Water and Small Waste Water systems ticket would be an asset Experience in a mining environment is an asset Base Earnings: $51.69 / Hour Base earnings include the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
