DIESEL / 9 months / Male / 35lbs ; 16kg / Border Collie Mix / Rescued from Tennessee / Fostered in North York Good with other dogs, cats and kids / House and crate trained Hi, I’m Diesel and I’m the only fuel you need for a lifetime of adventures, laughter, and love! Making you happy will always be my number one goal - do you want to be my best friend forever? My goofy, happy-go-lucky nature will keep you smiling nonstop. One way to keep me smiling? Playing fetch! I might go pro one day, so I hope you have a good throwing arm! My special fetch toy is a ball in a fish costume (I think it brings me good luck so I carry it around with me wherever I go). Afterwards I like to relax by having you give me lots and lots of belly rubs. After fetch, my next favourite thing is meeting new friends! I’m such a cheerful boy and people can’t help but fall in love with my ultra sweet personality. With kids I am especially gentle and love all the attention they give me! I settle quickly and quietly with some chew toys for alone time in my crate, even if you go away to work for the day. When you get back, get ready for oodles of kisses! Exploring my neighbourhood is really fun. Going on walks is always an adventure, and I’m learning to contain my excitement (like when I see other dogs I like) and to not pull too much on my leash. I can’t wait to show you how smart I am! I pick up new tricks and commands in no time flat, and especially love play-based and agility training. I hope my new family can continue to help me learn as much as I can and get the exercise I need. Being a puppy, I have lots of energy and chewing on anything I can get my paws on is tons of fun for me, but if you give me my own chew toy instead I’m happy with that.
