Tye / 3 yrs / Male / MIixed Breed / 70 lbs - 32 kgs / Rescued from Tennessee / Currently fostered in Huntsville Good with kids / Indifferent to other dogs / No Cats / House and crate-trained Major medical concerns: none Introducing Tye, the most affectionate, lovable, low-maintenance teddy bear you'll ever meet! Tye absolutely adores humans. He can never get enough of people and loves to be by your side, whether it's for cuddles or simply keeping you company while you go about your day. Tye can be a bit clumsy at times and tends to bump into things or flop onto the ground without any notice but this just adds to his endearing charm. Hilariously, he likes to use these 'slips' as an opportunity to welcome his favourite kind of pats, belly rubs! Given his loving and carefree demeanor, his foster mom thinks he might be a panda bear in a dog costume! Tye isn't bothered by loud noises or new experiences like car rides but he definitely prefers a calm and relaxed lifestyle. Tye is not too interested in toys or playing with other dogs, though he doesn't mind if they're around, rather, he likes short walks, lazing around outside and watching his humans, exploring, sniffing, and marking the world around him, or simply just napping the day away. If you have a busy day, Tye can easily hang out at home in his crate alone for 6 hours and doesn't make a fuss about it. Tye is currently working on learning his commands and leash manners but is very treat-motivated and will eventually become a pro if his family is committed to continuing training with him. Tye would love to live in a peaceful neighbourhood with an outdoor space he can call his own. Given that Tye doesn't bark, he could learn to live in an apartment or condo but having access to a balcony to sunbathe on or lots of outdoor time would be essential. Tye wouldn't mind living with children but would thrive best in a home as an only pet or with another independent dog. Cats, however, are a definite no-go for Tye. Tye has an abundance of love to give and wants nothing more than a family to cuddle up with and call his own.
