Meet Kato, our handsome boy who came into our care as a stray and is now searching for his forever home. Kato is under-socialized and nervous around people, so he needs a calm and patient home to help him gain trust and build his confidence. Due to his shy nature, Kato would not thrive in a home with young children.However, Kato brightens up when other dogs are around and would love a home with a confident and friendly canine companion. He can play rough, so he will need a patient friend of similar size and enthusiasm to handle his playfulness.He is not fully accustomed to living indoors and would do well in a home that offers both outdoor and indoor access. Kato is still learning to walk on a leash and will need some training to get comfortable with it and other new experiences. As a young pup, he will also benefit from basic obedience training. Despite his shyness, Kato can be quite playful and enjoys playing fetch and tug of war.If you have a calm and understanding home and are ready to help Kato blossom into the confident dog we know he can be, please consider adopting him.
