Say hello to Bogey, a lovely young female yellow budgie who found her way to us from an unexpected place - a golf course! This delightful feathered friend spent many days hanging out around hole 6 before finally being caught by a few of our volunteers and staff, so we thought it was only fitting to name her after a golf term.Bogey is incredibly friendly and has already mastered the art of stepping up. She absolutely adores millet, but it should only be given as an occasional treat. Bogey would love to join another lonely budgie or become part of a flock, where she can share her sweet chirps and joyful personality.As Bogey was spotted mingling with wild birds, she's currently on a 14-day quarantine to ensure the safety of all the birds at our shelter. We're monitoring her for any signs of HPAI (avian flu), but so far, she's symptom-free and as happy as can be. Her quarantine period ends on May 31st, and she'll be ready to fly into her new home right after!Don't wait to put in an application for this lovely little birdie.
