The sun is shining and summer`s around the corner. Only thing missing in your life is a great new dog companion.It`s Miller time!Strickingly handsome, active and one super cool dude, Miller is where the fun is at people! He is a lover of all kinds of outdoor activities, picnics, barbeques, potlucks and, did we mention food? - the more snacks, the better (according to him). Miller might just be your best sidekick to enhance this summer`s fun, (and many summers to come)!Miller came to Toronto Animal Services as a stray dog in need of a little TLC, and we delivered! We put him on an excellent diet to promote healthy skin, coat and body weight, and this has greatly helped his sensitive skin. Miller should stay on this diet exclusively unless a veterinarian recommends otherwise. We also treated a couple minor infections and he is currently recovered and maintained. Miller was treated for a chronic ear infection which has mostly, but not completely resolved. Though we have discontinued treatment, we recommend his family new follow up with their own vet clinic about his ears. We are happy to give more details by phone, and provide his prospective family with a copy of his full medical history to take to their private veterinarian.Miller is a very high energy, people-loving dog who enjoys long walks, cuddles and playtime in park. Miller has a few dog friends at the shelter who enjoy hanging out together. He prefers calm, well-mannered dogs who tolerate his high energy. Miller would love to meet any family dogs you have to see if it is a good match. Miller would do best with an experienced family who have raised and worked with Shepherd breeds. Like many Shepherds, Miller will benefit from an active lifestyle, with lots of stimilating activities, positive reinforcement and a steady routine, to satisfy his working breed characteristics and minimize anxiety.
