Meet Lenny, our adorable 4-month-old Husky mix who is looking for his forever home! Lenny came to us as a stray and is a bit shy in new environments and around new people, but he warms up quickly and reveals his loving personality. For his young age, he is remarkably well-mannered and smart and has shown a lot of potential. Lenny recently spent the night with a foster family and proved to be surprisingly good with their cats. He was curious and wanted to play, but didn't bark at them. He absolutely loves his toys and has a fun habit of carrying them from room to room, he particularly loves stuffies!This sweet pup likes to be close but isn't overly needy. He's content to lay on a bed or blanket next to you while you watch TV or work from home. Lenny isn't housebroken yet, so he'll need a patient family to help with his training - on the bright side, he does sleep through the night! A home with a yard would be perfect for him since he loves to frolic and jump around in the grass. He hasn't been very mouthy or jumpy yet, which we see a lot in shelter puppies, but when he gets comfortable and more playful he might gently nibble, but a quick toy to redirect and he is easily distracted. Lenny seems to get along well with other dogs, though he hasn't had much training or structured interaction so far. He would benefit from slow introductions and continued socialization. Because of his Husky breed, Lenny can be high energy and quite vocal and may express himself with a variety of sounds. This charming trait adds to his personality but also means he would thrive in a home that appreciates a talkative pup and also understanding neighbours! If you're looking for a playful, affectionate puppy who has the potential to be a fantastic family dog with a bit of training and love, Lenny could be the perfect addition to your home.
