Exciting Opportunity: Cook We are on the lookout for a talented cook to join our fantastic kitchen team at the picturesque Prairie Lake Seniors Community in Grande Prairie, Alberta. If you have a passion for creating delicious meals that bring joy to our residents, we want to hear from you! Position Details: Location: Prairie Lake Seniors Community, Grande Prairie, Alberta Type: Permanent Part-Time What You’ll Do: Whip up scrumptious meals that exceed the expectations of residents, families, and clients Prepare and oversee daily and special event menus, ensuring dietary needs are met within budget Lead and guide kitchen staff, organize orientations, schedules, and work assignments Implement and maintain inventory control systems to maximize savings and minimize waste Monitor resident satisfaction and address concerns with the leadership team Ensure all food preparation meets health and safety standards Participate in fire/emergency drills and all Health and Safety initiatives What You’ll Bring: Experience as a cook in a volume food preparation environment, preferably in healthcare or hospitality Current certification of Food Safe Level 1 Working knowledge of HACCP Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and willingness to receive booster shots as required Ready to Join Us?
