Applications are invited for the regular position of Assistant Centre Director at CET-A, one of our Adult Education and Vocational Training Centre, available as of July 4, 2024. The position involves the performance of all duties required in the management of the programs and resources as determined by the Centre Director of the CET-A centre, including 4861 de la Savanne in St-Hubert, 638 Guimond in Longueuil and 2121 Darwin in Ste-Julie. . NATURE OF THE TASKS: In collaboration with and under the supervision of the Centre Director, the successful candidate will assist in the management of pedagogical, operational, and administrative matters of the centre to promote student success and will be responsible for student follow-up. The candidate will have a proven track record in the following areas: organization, leadership, pedagogical support, decision making, teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal, public, and business skills. The Assistant Director will participate in promotional strategies, manage online courses, and participate in the development of offering new programs, and be actively involved in the recruitment, hiring and evaluation of staff. Supporting the service of recruitment of students, both local and international in AGE and VT, may be required. The Assistant Director should have very good knowledge of the adult general and vocational education curriculum, pedagogical programs, and the Québec Education Program relevant to the educational sectors of the centre. The Assistant Centre Director will be responsible for the automated teacher replacement system, timetables, student and program evaluations, as well as other files such as CNESST and any other tasks related to this position. The Assistant Centre Director will play a leadership role in the professional development of staff. QUALIFICATIONS: Undergraduate degree or training in a relevant field of study. A Master’s level degree or Certificate in Educational Administration (completed or in progress) Permanent teaching authorization issued by the Ministère de l'Éducation et Ministère de l'Enseignement supérieur (MEQ). At least five (5) years of relevant experience in education. Experience in adult education or vocational training is a definite asset. Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and communication skills in both English and French. Ability to travel to the different centres. SALARY AND WORKING CONDITIONS: Salary and working conditions are in conformity with the Regulation respecting the Conditions of Employment of Management Staff of School Boards. This position falls within classification 06, for a salary between $78 600.00 and $104,797.00 according to qualifications and experience.
