Ours is committed to giving our customers the best software experience possible to make their lives easier.Experience5 years or more of professional experience in a software development roleDuties:We need someone who can assist our development team with all aspects of software design and coding, primarily in the back-end.You?ll often be tasked with: Writing, modifying, integrating and maintaining code, including documentation Monitoring technical performance of systems Working on minor bug fixes Code reviewing and testing of other development team members? code and features You?ll be working closely with our existing development team, attending and contributing to company developmental meetings, but you?ll also need to be able to take responsibility and succeed on your own merit to hit targets.Qualifications: A background in software engineering with a degree in CS/SE or an equivalent background in software engineering through work experience Knowledge of Design and Architectural patterns and when to apply them Ability to document solutions and clearly articulate architecture to colleagues Strong Python development experience with exposure to DJango and some impressive projects under your belt A solid understanding of MySQL, Vue.js and Node.js Comfort with AWS ECS and RDS Familiar with S3, Apache and Ubuntu Experience with GIT and Agile development practices and tools Ability to review code written by peers and provide feedback The desire to want to work with team members and learn from each other?s strengths and weaknesses Strong communication skills and knowing when to ask for help and bounce ideas and solutions off of peers Personal Suitability and Skills: Accurate Good judgement Team player Integrity, Dependability and Initiative Organized Resourceful Here?s why we could be a good fit for you: Fully remote work environment, based in Burlington, ON Opportunity to make a real difference with a software that people enjoy using and that improves their lives.
