Valkyrie is bright, happy girl with her tortoiseshell pattern of grey and orange patches, sometimes called tortie with a bit of a tabby pattern on her pretty face and so she is what is called a torbie!She was found outside of town and made her way to the door of a acreage where a wonderful finder realized that she was raised as a house cat and didn't belong outside. She brought her to Saskatoon where someone else took care of Valkyrie for a while until there was a foster home that could take her in.Valkyrie loves pets, head and chin rubs and all the petting she can get. She loves balls, boxes and all the other toys especially if they rattle or make any kind of sound. She even found a stuffed chicken toy that makes chicken noises and her foster parents had no idea that toy made any noise!She loves to chat with her foster parents and the other cats in her foster home. She makes happy noises when she has chased down a mouse toy enough times to bring it to her foster parents. She is a little over one years old and has lots of energy to play, but also loves to sit with her foster parents getting petted and having a nap with them. She has always used her litterbox like a perfect lady and learned very quickly which were the scratching posts that she was allowed to scratch instead of the furniture. She wants to please her foster parents always and tries very hard to learn what she is allowed to do and what she shouldn't do.She likes being around other cats to play, clean and nap with. She has never been around dogs or children, but she might be okay with a dog that gives her some time to get used to them. She also may do very well with children that know how to play and pet kitties nicely and just know how not to hurt her or scare her.So if you are looking for a young playful kitty that also loves sitting with you for lots of pets, this is the girl for you. She just wants to give her love to people who will love her and take good care of her. Dislikes: Getting her nails trimmed, waiting for supper.Ideal Home would have : Humans around for pets and cuddles anytime she wants them. A playmate. Toys. Good with Cats: Yes Good with Dogs: Unknown but possibly Good with children: Unknown but fosters believes that she would be good with them as long as they treated her nicely and are at least a few years old.
