Adopt NEVAEH (Egypt) yo a White Saluki / Canaan Dog dog in Langley

Location:
Langley, BC
Description:

Hello. My name is NEVAEH (Beauty) and here is a bit about me:Breed: Canaan dog/Saluki mix (Baladi dog)Age: 10 monthsGender: femaleWeight: 13 kgHeight: 50 cmHighlight(s): friendly, playful, disabled, sweet, determinedAren't I beautiful, like an angel? Life has been difficult early in life for such a little puppy like me. If you bring me into your home, you will reverse my world (and name) and bring about Heaven.Last Fall 2023, I was playing with my brother in the streets of Egypt, when a vehicle ran over me. I remained in the middle of the street for some time in pain. No one was helping me. One of the neighbors told my rescuer about me, so she came to get me. I was in severe pain and suffering from a high fever. My rescuer took me to the clinic for checks. Xrays revealed severe injuries https://youtu.be/9mjg7VAFRk8 . I had a fractured spine & numerous fractured, dislocated and free floating rib bones from the accident. My rescuer then took me home, to help me as best she could. She is not in the best physical health to accomodate my needs, however.I am currently paralyzed in my rear legs, but I am a strong girl, both physically and in personality. I get around with my front legs, as I am quite determined to be independent moving around. I try to run around with all the other dogs. I could probably zip all over, if I had a wheelchair. Also, my bladder and functionings for going potty work fine. I wear a diaper at night, but like to do my business in a spot of my choosing during the day, far from my sleep spot. When I first arrived in foster, I was scared and barked all the time. They think I was locked in a room with my friend without human interaction, as I didn't understand any commands. Now I love people and will bark a moment, then come over for petting. I love attention and being touched. It may be good to be evaluated by a Canadian vet to see what would help me and to alleviate any daily pain, but can't communicate it. I sleep deep on my back. Perhaps the most comfortable for me. It is cute though. My rescuer saved another pup too. He is my play buddy, ChooChoo (also posted.) https://youtu.be/PU9XZrOKtWU . He'll steal bones to give me, then I hide them. So, I'd do well with another doggie friend. Additionally, I get along with cats too. I'm not the curious type, so I don't play with them, but don't hurt them, as I'm a friendly little girl. I'd love if we could be adopted together, but understand, if not.I do so hope you have a heart to get me to Canada, so I can experience what would be heaven for me.Additional vids: https://youtu.be/GorDhYlJ_EA , https://youtube.com/shorts/bXr0FTNHbUk , https://youtube.com/shorts/9c495ULM7YE , https://youtube.com/shorts/HErMjAPADfk , https://youtu.be/BHVzUH7CD4k , https://youtube.com/shorts/JNRen9hhBqI , https://youtube.com/shorts/qyK0fIrimY8 , https://youtu.be/dxsQ6WnUOxw My energy level moderate to moderate high, I'm just a baby after all.I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: yesKids: unknown (rescuer states yes, but no video proof)Fears: none observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training: noneLeash skills: no. Please be prepared to train me.House trained: no. I will need a diaper at night, but can go on my own in the daytime.Health notes: Paralyzed rear legs. Previously broken spine, multiple damaged ribs. No surgery has been performed. I seem to take a high dose of anesthesia to sedate me. Missing lower left canine tooth.I have been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. If both of us, the fee is $1350. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2051027##
