Position Title: Business Development Associate Wage: $60,000 - $70,000 annually plus RRSP JOB SUMMARY: We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Business Development Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base within the security services industry. You will play a key role in achieving our exciting growth strategies. There is opportunity for career advancement and professional development. While we would strongly prefer the candidate be located in Victoria, we will consider qualified applicants from other parts of Vancouver Island. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels including our existing client base, cold calling, networking events, and online research Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions to meet their security requirements Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute strategic sales plans that align with company objectives and revenue targets Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations to secure new business opportunities Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify areas for potential growth and innovation Manage the sales pipeline effectively, tracking leads, opportunities, and conversions using our CRM software Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless delivery of services and client satisfaction An interest in emerging technologies and solutions KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Proven track record in sales or business development roles, preferably within the security services industry Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate value propositions effectively Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and achieving goals Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software (e.g. HubSpot) is desirable REWARDS Competitive Compensation Group-life Insurance and Long-term Disability Health & Dental coverage BC Transit ProPass (15% off monthly bus pass) Paid sick, vacation and personal needs time RRSP contributions Powered by JazzHR
