To help orchestrate these magical moments, we are in search of a passionate Wedding/Event Coordinator for our Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta. A successful candidate is required to work as per the company values: Caring, Integrity, Excellence, Team Spirit and Financial Responsibility. Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager, the Wedding/Event Coordinator will be responsible for: Preparing and distributing details on Banquet Event Orders (B.E.O.). Responding to clients requests and changes in a timely and friendly manner. Proactively follow up with clients and anticipate their needs. Planning, communicating, and coordinating details of wedding, events and meetings with the multiple clients. Working closely with Event Planner, Banquet Operations and Culinary team. Hand off detailed files including, but not limited to: Banquet room requirements and floor plans, function times, equipment setup and menus. Effectively communicate all changes in a timely manner. Working closely with Food & Beverage team and other departments to completely satisfy the requirements of the booking party. Overseeing the execution of events to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain positive working relationships with local vendors and partners. Participating in tradeshows. Providing administrative support to Food & Beverage Department including, but not limited to: printing menus, labels and signage. Conducting site inspections of the property. Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar sales and events administration, service or support capacity is desirable. Attention to detail in a fast paced, high volume work environment is a must. Experience in weddings, golf events, meetings and F&B service industry is desirable. Flexible to ever-changing client's requirements. High sense of urgency and able to meet conflicting deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Must be available to work outside of traditional business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays) Must be highly energetic, Self-starter and have a positive disposition. Must be eligible to work in Canada full-time. Ability to build rapport and trust with others. Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization. Professional appearance and manners.
