Job Title: Social Media Assistant Location: Halifax, NS Job Overview: As a Social Media Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our brand's online presence and engaging with our audience across various social media platforms. You'll work closely with our Social Media Manager to develop and execute social media strategies that align with our brand objectives and resonate with our target audience. Key Responsibilities: Community Engagement: Monitor social media channels, respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner, and foster positive interactions with our audience. Scheduling and Publishing: Schedule and publish content across social media platforms using scheduling tools, ensuring consistency in posting frequency and timing. Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and propose innovative ideas to enhance our social media strategy. Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments, such as marketing, design, and customer service, to ensure alignment of messaging and goals across all channels. Requirements: Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and their respective best practices. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in graphic design and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) is a plus. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights. Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas for content and campaigns. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
