DOB: April 24th, 2021 Jade is an unbelievably loving cat. She is very attached to her humans and wants to be snuggled and scratched by them all the time. Jade is very adventurous and curious; she loves to explore ever nook of the house and climb up on every surface. You almost never have to go searching for her because her favourite place will be beside you. She is just looking for someone to love and feel safe with. Jade is a very vocal kitty. She will always let you know when she wants to be pet, if not with her voice, she will reach out to you with her paws. She loves to eat; whenever you are eating or cooking she will come looking for some. She is not a picky cat and will gladly eat any treats or food you give to her. Jade was surrendered by her owner during her pregnancy. Because of complications with her pregnancy, she was spade late in her pregnancy and lost her kittens. This was a week before she was put into foster care. Other than this, she has had no other medical complications and is a very healthy and well-adapted cat. Because of Jade's pregnancy, she is very sensitive about her tummy. She needs an owner who is understanding of this, one that will not touch her there and respect her not wanting to be picked up. She is very understanding and will give you a warning if you get to close. The more time she spends with you, the closer she’ll allow you to get and the more she’ll trust you by showing her stomach. Jade is one of the most loving and chill cats you'll ever meet. She wants nothing more than to be by your side at all times. She loves scratches behind her ears and under her chin; she also loves to hold your hand with her paws and will reach out for you. Jade just wants someone to love and feel safe with.Adoption processAdoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old). This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way! Note: -Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat.
