Material Handler - Afternoon Shift

This is for the Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm - 1:00am Monday through Thursday; Training will be on 1st shift: 7:30am - 3:45pm for 2 months Responsibilities Performs kitting, picking, packing, SAP transactions and Customer Services as required by Production; shipping, receiving and forklift and other material handling equipment operations. Stocking put-aways, organizing shelves and kitting parts respecting FIFO (First in First out); Pack and ship a variety of orders. Accurately complete necessary paperwork for shipping and receiving orders Pick customer orders for shipping. Check in, issue and deliver product to other departments. Be on track about breakdown orders and be able to coordinate with Planners and Engineers to release outbounds and check do check. Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required. May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees. Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees. Participate in Behavioural Based Safety Training and contribute to the program. Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities. Performs work in accordance with job-specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards. Requirements Valid Lift Truck License preferred (Minimum experience with Tow Motor - Reach Truck Operations, Powered Pump Trucks and BT Basket) - if applicants do not currently have a valid Lift Truck License it will be the expectation that if offered the position they obtain their license within 3 months of their start date in the role Fall Protection training Reading and understanding written instructions, i.e., Cambridge Specific Procedures (CSPs) and Documented Work Instructions (DWIs) Utilizing a computer to view, log, and/or find appropriate job-related information, i.e., SAP, FTPC Safe use of manual tools, power tools, machinery, devices and material handling equipment.
