Adopt CARLA a Black - with Brown, Red, Golden, Orange or Chestnut Mixed Breed

Location:
Langley, BC
Description:

Hiya!! My name is Carla and here's more info about me:PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: Mixed Lab Age: 11 months approx. Gender: Female Weight: 55 lbs (25 kg) (but might still grow a bit!) Length (nose to butt): 84cm Height (paws to top of head): 58cm Current Location: Mexico City, Mexico RESCUE STORY - I was born on the streets of Mexico when my rescuers found me and my siblings. We were very hungry and sad but I was SO happy when we were rescued! You can learn more about my heartbreaking rescue by watching this video . I can't wait to find my furever home so that I can show off my puppy energy and my playfulness :) I'm used to being around other puppies and humans and since I'm still young I can learn to adapt to homes with other dogs or cats!TEMPERAMENT - Since I'm a young gal, I have a lot of energy and just want to play! Being a growing pup takes a lot of rest, too, so I can have moments of just needing to sleep after using up a lot of my fun puppy energy. I am so eager for love and affection ( video ). I am looking for a patient, loving family who is ready for "all things puppy" - hoomans who are open to working with timiditiy, potential play nipping, high energy, housetraining and leash skills. I promise to repay you with loads of cuddles, kisses and tail wags! Me and my siblings live at a foster home in the countryside. We get to go on walks where it is nice and quiet, so when we occasionally go into the city or busier neighbourhoods, we can be a bit timid/skittish. If I'm adopted by hoomans who live in the city, I'll just need some extra patience and love while I desensitize to the loud noises of city life. ENERGY LEVEL - Moderate, classic young dogg-o energy. I play hard but I crash hard too!GETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Yup! Here is a video of me meeting some children. same with ALL dogs, I should be supervised around children. My humans need to advocate for my space and make sure I'm respected :) Dogs – I'm used to other puppies but can adapt to bigger and older dogs. Here is a video of me with some doggos at the dog park and a video of me meeting other doggos on leash. Cats – Unknown PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.TRAINING: Leash skills – I am still a puppy so these are a work in progress. I am much more timid/skittish in louder, busier environments. My adopter must be willing to provide me with some training and lots of patience :) House trained – This is a work in progress since I'm still a puppy. I just need some time and training! Crate trained – Not yet. I will need some training and patience. Car rides – I went on a road trip to the city for 1 hour and I got a bit car sick (lots of drool). I will likely need to be crated in the car or have some doggy Gravol before going on long trips. I'll likely get better with more exposure, but I'll just need my adopter to be patient with me :) Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain, Balanced Dog Trainer) to offer adopters 50% off one training session (not including tax and applicable gas surcharges). Any subsequent sessions will be offered at standard rates. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am not spayed yet, as I am too young still. I have received all my puppy shots though! NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer.
