Hello, our names are Gibbs (short haired) & Sparrow (long haired)!The GHS family thinks we're awesome because we are a sweet pair of guinea pigs who love to snuggle with each other, munch on yummy hay, and zoom around our cage together! We are still working on our confidence and may be a bit shy when we first meet you, but if you have some yummy veggies or treats, you'll quickly win our hearts over!Our new family should know we love each other and are looking to be adopted as a bonded pair. We could potentially get along with another male guinea pigs, with a slow introduction. We are gentle and sweet and could be a good match with other respectful children and pets! Please ensure you read their adorable description and all their important details. 2) Choose the pet that you feel would be a good match for your home. 3) Fill out an Expression of Interest Form (EOI) below, and email XXXX@guelphhumane.ca. Please remember that an animal may receive many applications. If this pet doesn’t work out, we will try to match you with another amazing pet. 4) Our team will reach out to you to discuss the next steps, including setting up a virtual adoption meeting via Zoom or other video conferencing. This is a great opportunity for us to assess if the pet is a perfect match for your home/family. These meetings can be scheduled 7 days a week during shelter operation hours. 5) If everything goes well, we will set-up a pick-up time and your new pet gets to come home! Our staff have introduced creative ways to continue our important work while maintaining appropriate social distancing in accordance with Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph (WDG) Public Health standards as a result of COVID-19. At this time, we are unable to welcome more people into the building outside our staffing needs. We unfortunately cannot properly socially distance with a higher building occupancy.
