Supervisor Accounting and Assurance

Description:
The Supervisor, Accounting and Assurance will focus on providing high-quality accounting, assurance, and consulting services for clients. Roles and Responsibilities: Prepare engagement deliverables (financial statements, letters, and communications, etc.).Review, investigate, and correct accounting and assurance engagement files and financial statements.Review of work in progress of assigned staff members. Maintain high-quality control when reviewing work done by other team members; provide feedback to team members.Assist with technical accounting issues and act as a point of contact for audit and accounting assistance.Prepare/review corporate and personal tax returns.Communicate and maintain relationships with clients, Canada Revenue Agency, lawyers, and bankers.Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related equivalent degreeCompletion of a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation Minimum of four years’ experience in public practiceAdvanced accounting, auditing and tax skills;Experience with CaseWare, Caseview and TaxPrep considered an asset;A team player able to rally resources and work with others to meet the needs of the client;Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence;Strong interest in coaching and development, with a commitment to personal growth;Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities;Superior verbal and written communication skills;Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines;Ability to work flexible hours;
