The successful applicant will: Perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of truck, trailer combinations and various off road equipment including compaction equipment, dozers, excavators, graders, loaders and paving equipment Diagnosing electrical, hydraulic and mechanical troubles Perform preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, repair, overhaul, trouble shoot and test mechanical and electronic equipment according to company standards Complete maintenance records and documentations as required Work in a shop setting when not in the field Work from a service truck in the field as required with possible overnight stays Participate as a vital team member, and contribute towards the success of the organization, which may involve participation in other areas of technical and field support, as required. Perform duties in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner Other duties as required The successful applicant MUST HAVE Alberta HET certification or minimum 3rd year apprentice or out of province HET certification with Interprovincial Red Seal Your own tools Basic welding knowledge and skills (welding certification is an asset) Minimum Class 5 license with clean abstract (valid Class 1 License is an asset) Licensed CVIP certification is an asset Strong attention to detail Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to multitask and shift priorities as required Requires a flexible work schedule including overtime and weekend work during the construction season (May - November) Great communication and interpersonal skills Be in good physical shape in order to work in physically demanding conditions Job Posted by ApplicantPro
