Employment Type: Canada Summer Job - Contract full time Duration: 8 weeks Age: 15 - 30 Start Date: As Soon As Possible We are a charitable organization focused on inspiring and enabling young leaders to shape a better future. We are looking for a creative, detailed oriented, and positive individual, with a desire to have an impact on the development of youth. Someone with the ability to grasp concepts quickly and translate them into fresh, current, and youth-friendly material. The ideal candidate enjoys working from a blank canvas and thrives on learning and researching concepts and frameworks. Responsibilities Develop a thorough plan for multiple leadership retreats Facilitate daily retreats’ activities such as games, activities, team-building exercises, special events, and educational exhibition-related activities Promptly reports absences to the program manager, maintains ratios and completes headcounts according to the City Camp policies and procedures Prioritize the Seed Leads well-being, safety and protection throughout the retreat Evaluate situations for potential risks to the safety, protection and well-being of the Seed Leads. Proactively take mitigating actions to address risks Prepare and organize program equipment and supplies, reporting any inventory shortages to the program manager Demonstrate the confidence and ability to make decisions independently of peers and in the best interests of the Seed Leads Resolve problems and conflicts effectively as they arise Ensure all participants are aware of upcoming events and schedule changes Organize and assist with set-up and clean-up of retreat events, activities and programs Build positive, constructive relationships with staff and volunteers with the goal of meeting the Seed Leads needs Coach and mentor volunteers and Seed Leads Provide feedback to the program manager through formal assessments Attitude and Qualifications Optimistic mindset Hunger for excellence Strong critical thinking Creative People smart Strong attention to detail Powered by JazzHR
