OVERVIEW OF POSITION - Catering Prep CookImpact Kitchen is looking for a team player to fill the seasonal Prep Cook role for one of our most exciting offsite partnerships yet! This role will be responsible for supporting the Executive and Sous Chef in all aspects of the program's day-to-day operations. The Prep Cook is to execute the entire menu from prep to completed dishes while providing service excellence and guest/client satisfaction.Reports to: Executive Chef SCHEDULE & DURATION: Must be available to work a flexible work schedule 7-month seasonal position (early April to October, with opportunity for permanent employment at Impact Kitchen restaurants afterwards) Paid Training - tentative start date mid-March (to be confirmed upon hire) Working together with them as a team to ensure successful service every day Tentative start date of April 1st (to be confirmed upon hire) LOCATION: Rogers Centre, 1 Blue Jays Way, Toronto, ON M5V 1J1 ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist in set up, organization and cleanliness of the onsite kitchen Manage kitchen compliance including health and safety regulation Execute the production schedule of the onsite kitchen Working together with them as a team to ensure successful service everyday Model the company’s standards and operating practice ensuring that the team follows SOP’s through production and execution Professionalism standards to be adhered to around athletes and staff QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2 years of progressive culinary/kitchen experience Comprehensive knowledge of food production, sanitation, and presentation Knowledge of federal, provincial and municipal health and safety requirements Exceptional communication, organization and leadership skills Proven ability to ensure consistency, quality and plate presentation Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Willing to periodically work long hours based on schedule Willingness to perform other duties as assigned Comfortable in a locker room-type environment Mandatory Background/Police Check for Hired Individuals TEAM PERKS & COMPENSATION Competitive compensation: $18-$19/hour Free Impact Kitchen Meal for each day of work 50% discount on Impact Kitchen brand purchases Free team social events Opportunities for permanent employment & internal promotion upon program completion WHY WORK AT IMPACT?
