Transit DriverLocation: Spruce Grove, ABDo you prefer being behind-the-wheel instead of stuck at a desk all day? Do you enjoy providing a service to your community? This may be the opportunity for you! PWTransit is currently seeking part-time and casual Transit Drivers to join our team in Spruce Grove. We offer competitive wages, ongoing training and development and a family-oriented team environment. Part-time Drivers will receive a minimum of 20 hours per week. Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers on a daily basis and must be committed to providing superior customer service. Commitment, patience, maturity, and initiative are all required qualities.Position Requirements: * Class 1 or 2Q driver's license * Previous commercial driving experience (minimum 2 years) * Driver's abstract with no more than 3 demerit points * Willingness to undergo drug and alcohol screening * Clear criminal record * Must be organized, punctual and reliable * Possess excellent driving skills and habits * Ability to read maps and navigate (familiar with Spruce Grove and Stony Plain) * Ability to communicate effectively * Willing to work shifts, including split shifts, and statutory holidays as necessary Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Safely transport passengers on a number of assigned routes * Manage passenger behaviour by quickly and effectively solving problems * Drive safely and responsibly and be prepared for all road and traffic conditions * Provide superior customer service and assist with passenger questions/inquiries * Cleaning of units in wash bayPWTransit, a division of Calgary-based Pacific Western Transportation, is a full-service bus transportation company, with operations located in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
