Meet Zeus! Zeus is a big, silly boy with lots of love to give! He gets quite nervous around new people and things, but don't we all? He will need an owner who has the patience and time to properly socialize him and give him a consistent routine so that he can be his best self! Once you have built trust with Zeus, he will show you endless love! He is a sucker for human companionship and is a very loyal dog. In the past, he has shown some fearfulness around men, although he has been improving during his stay with us. We believe that with the proper training and socialization, this fearfulness can be corrected. Zeus has the potential to get along with other dogs and has made many dog friends while in our care. Zeus doesn't like to share his high value treats and would do well with resource guarding training. Zeus is a large dog who gets big zoomies and would benefit from having a yard or property to run around on. Due to him being such a large dog, he would do best with a family that does not have small children.If you're considering adopting Zeus, remember to assess your own living situation, lifestyle, and preferences to ensure they align with his needs. It's also a good idea to interact with Zeus beforehand to determine he will be a good fit for your family!Do you think you could be Zeus' person? Here are some ways to find out: 1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Tuesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.) Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.
