Position #: 159191Type: Permanent Part TimeDepartment: MDST EMS & CECFTE: 0.71Shift Information:Hours of Work: 240.00 hours per 8 week rotation: 21 shifts of 8.00 hours, 6shifts of 12.00 hoursSalary or Pay Band: $39.654 to $48.451 (5 step range)Number of Positions: 1Job Summary:Advanced Care Paramedic's are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support ( BLS ) services to the sick and injured, and for continuing to provide BLS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities or a Paramedic.Qualifications:Required Qualifications CMA accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP/EMT-P) level Clean Driver's Abstract Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the ACP/EMT-P level Valid Class 4 drivers license Other Information CEC Shifts: 12 hour night shifts (7 days per week), may include some shorter shifts (subject to change). EMS Shifts: 8 hour shifts with 16 hours of standby assignment (7 days per week). Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria. Additional Text:Other Information Continued: This position is currently based out of the Maidstone facility, which includes EMS and the Collaborative Emergency Centre (CEC). The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA. A vulnerable sector check (VSC) is required for individuals providing patient/resident/client care to vulnerable persons.
