CHILD CAREGIVER PRIVATE HOME The Baltar Family residing in Burnaby, BC (Stride Avenue area) requires help for the care of their two children. Details of the job offer are indicated herein. TITLE POSITION : Child Caregiver-Private Home (Care for two children) TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Full-time (40 hours of work per week) WAGES AND BENEFITS : $16.75 per hour, 100% MSP and WCB Coverage ANTICIPATED START DATE : As Soon As Possible SKILLS AND EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS : Completion of Secondary school. Completion of a training program in childcare or related field; OR Childcare or household management relevant experience. First aide and CPR certificates MAIN DUTIES : Supervise and care for children in employers residence. Bathe, dress, and feed children. Oversee childrens activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employers. Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development. Tend to the emotional well-being of the children. Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents. Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading, and outings to provide amusement exercise. Plan, prepare and serve meal for children and may perform other housekeeping duties. Take children to and from school and to appointments. Maintain a healthy environment in the home. Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child. SAFETY AND SECURITY : Criminal Record Check is mandatory. ACCOMMODATION : Optional accommodation available. NOTE : This is not a condition of employment. OTHER : Position available and open to Aboriginal youth, new immigrants, and persons with disabilities. Work schedule and days off of employee will be arranged based on the work schedule of employers.
