***AT EHS***We're just nuts about Hazel!!!And apparently, so are a few other crazy cat rescuers! Little Hazel was rescued off the streets in Hamilton, with some of her buddies, after getting the attention of some compassionate (and crazy), kitty rescuers. She was likely born outside, and struggling to survive the raw Ontario climate. Well, Hazel's rescuer wouldn't hear of this darling little Tuxedo girl having to scratch and scrabble an existence, outside! So she took Hazel (and her sister, Macy) into the roasty-toasty indoors, to know the luxuries of indoor life! After earning Hazel's trust (because Hazel likely had little human interaction outside), this kind lady reached out to another rescue group who, in turn, reached out to EHS.Now, Hazel arrived, dressed to impress, in all her adorable Tuxedo finery! Although she has a bit of a tough shell because she is shy and timid, we know that beneath it is nothing but nut-butter! Now, Hazel was nervous during her medical exam, (who wouldn't be?). Still, she was very well behaved throughout. But she certainly felt better when she could climb into her carrier and snuggle with her pal, Macy, after it was done. So, what's Hazel's purr-fect home look like? She will need an experienced kitty owner, who can help her come out of her shell, and build her trust in humans. With patience and love, Hazel will blossom into a confident, trusting, playful companion! A home without small children would be best, as Hazel is learning how to trust, and little people may not be able to read her kitty language. And since she started her life out with other kitties, it's a pretty safe bet that she would likely do well with another friendly feline....maybe even her pretty little sister, Macy? What we haven't unearthed yet, is whether our little Hazel would like to mix it up with other animals. Once we have spent more time getting to know our little Hazel, nuttin' will keep us from updating her profile!It's a known fact that nuts are good for your heart! Then you really need to get on over to EHS and meet Hazel! You'd be nuts not to!!---------------The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $150. Take home a feline friend for your kitty and the adoption fee for the pair is $250! Each of our cats is spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, snap tested for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.
