If you are looking for a company that is constantly moving forward in pursuit of successful outcomes, get ready to love it here!What you'll be doing: * Data analysis and reporting to support decision making across the organization * Analysis and preparation of financial statements and monthly departmental variance reports, including detailed salary analysis * Month end journals and account reconciliations * Provide exceptional customer service and accounting expertise to cross-functional areas * Assist with the year-end external audit process, preparation of relevant working papers, responding to audit queries and information requests * Continuous process improvement and work flow efficiencies across the finance department * Participate in system improvements and/or new system implementation * Support the annual budget process and all ancillary reporting * Accurate & timely Ministry reporting including quarterly MIS submissions, quarterly Ontario Health reports, ad hoc requests * Support senior management with special projects and other financial analysis as requiredWhat we're looking for: * Two plus years of relevant accounting, data analysis and financial reporting experience, healthcare knowledge is an asset * Superior knowledge of Excel for advanced data manipulation and analysis * University degree or College diploma in a related field * Completion of, or working toward, an accounting designation is an asset * Experience with AS400 is considered an asset * Strong analytical skills and the ability to discuss observations of financial information with management at all levels * Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written * Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions and implement the recommended course of action * Proven ability to work independently and as a team memberAs part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Homewood Health Centre requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada.Why work with usHomewood Health is Canada's largest and leading service provider for medically focused, evidence-based treatment of mental health and addiction disorders.
