This car was originally found in Costa Rica. It was then inherited from the original owner and imported into Canada. The current owner purchased the car in 2007 and completed the restoration in 2011 to an exceptional level using body off frame procedure. Full restoration photos and invoices are available. A professional auto appraiser rated this car as �near concourse quality� in 2013, rating it as 5.8/6Since then, it has been stored in a heated garage, and driven regularly, It is a truly special vehicle. Full disclosure - it recently had a minor bang-up and has three minor paint marks on front left fender and hood cover. Body:The off body restoration includes entire new wood structure and steel panels applied by experts and then shipped to Canada where the body tub was then applied to the new frame: resulting in a beautiful, complete restoration.The body is almost immaculate, panel gaps are even and fit flush. Paint has a mirror-like finish. All chrome is like new. Includes chrome luggage rack and the original picnic basket. All new glass, rubber seals, canvass top and side curtains. Mechanical:Fully restored to original specs - 1250cc inline XPAG engine. Twin SU carbs. Engine fires up from cold on the choke, and settles into an even idle when warm. This car has a modern 5 speed transmission.Rebuilt drive to rear axel. Fully restored suspension, all brakes and components, wiring harness, and stainless steel exhaust. Interior:Stunningly finished. Full professionally rebuilt tan leather seats with new seat covers. New door panels and floor coverings with mats to protect. Dash is beautiful polished wood with originally restored gauges and some new components. Correct MG steering wheel leather covered rim with minor patina. Includes cover for when the roof is down. The family no longer has a place to store the MG and care for it to the specs of its 91 year-old owner, so sadly it has to go to a new home. We have many new and excellent quality parts: generator, starter, carburetors, lamps, distributor, door panels, scuttle top, splash apron, transmission with casing, driveshaft, and clutch�.and more which can be negotiated in the price.
