Virgilio is ready for adoption! Virgilio is a 3-year old Dutch Smoushond terrier mix. He is small in size, weighing 12 lbs fully grown. His height is 15” from floor to shoulder. Virgilio was rescued in November of last year, when he was found wandering the streets of Tonalá, Mexico. He has since been living at a rescue shelter with our amazing partners in Guadalajara. Virgilio is a friendly, social, oh-so loving boy who gets along very well with adults, kids, and other dogs. He has so much joy and love to share with his humans - his personality is perfectly suited to be your new furry family member! This breed is known for their charming character, adaptable nature and devotion to their humans. Virgilio is not super high energy, he has a lovely balance of moderate energy combined with relaxation time. He likes to have a couple walks a day and some playtime at the park if time allows. He also definitely likes his down time, cozying up with his people, giving & receiving affection. He cares most about being with the people he loves. Virgilio will still need some training since he came from a life of homelessness to a rescue shelter, and has not yet experienced the “home” setting. Given his loyal, people-pleasing nature, we don’t think it’ll take him long to master new skills. With time, routine, and consistency, Virgilio will show you what a clever boy he can be! The Dutch terrier is highly intelligent and trainable, especially using reward-based techniques. Virgilio will be coming to BC (Langley) in April! He is looking for an adopter or foster to love on him when he arrives. He’s ready for his happily ever after! VETTING: Fully vaccinated. Neutered. Dewormed. SNAP 4Dx negative (Heartworm, Lyme disease, Ehrlichia, and Anaplasma). Distemper negative. Flea/tick/heartworm prevention. No known medical issues or injuries. **PLEASE NOTE: Virgilio is currently in Mexico. There will be a $235 fee for transportation to BC.
