Ringo *must Be Adopted With George*, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Toronto

Location:
Toronto, ON
Description:

Ringo and George are the cutest Ying and Yang cat combo that you'll ever meet. When they first came, they were both super scaredy cats. But they always stuck to each other. Throughout our time together, they've gotten a lot more playful and loves to lounge around. They especially love to lounge around together! These 2 would do best if adopted with each other.Ringo has the cutest blank stare with big blue eyes you'll ever see while he waits for his turn with the universal brain cell. His new favourite past time is watching other cats play very VERY closely. Ringo has gone from constantly hiding in the washroom all day to sitting on the couch with us (still keeping at a safe distance). Ringo does have a congenital deformity in his left ankle, but it does not cause him any pain as he's still able to play with the rest of the cats in our home. It also gives him a cute distinct clicking noise as he runs around the house. Ringo is still extremely shy and would be good in a home with very patient parents.Ringo has a congenital malformation of his front carpal (wrist) bones. He has been evaluated by an orthopedic specialist who has confirmed that Ringo does not require any treatment or follow-up for this condition. Corrective surgery may be necessary in the future if he develops pain or lameness. Like all ACR cats, Ringo has been treated for fleas and parasites.Ringo must be adopted with George.Follow this link to check out a video of them playing: https://vimeo.com/923151602?share=copyAdoption process If you are thinking of adopting a cat or kitten, please contact us. Annex Cat Rescue has matched over 1000 cats and kittens with good adoptive homes since our group started! Annex Cat Rescue cats live in real homes with our foster volunteers -- not in cages! This way, the cats live in normal homes and receive good food and medical care -- and lots of personal attention. We get to know each cat, so we can help you find the best cat for you. It's kind of like a kitty match-making service! All of our cats are vaccinated, have been de-wormed, and are spayed or neutered once they reach six months of age. We are always available if you have questions or concerns as your new cat is adjusting to your home. Here is our adoption process: Please leave a voice mail or email. One of our Adoption Team volunteers will contact you to find out more about the kind of kitty you are looking for. We will suggest which of our cats might be the best match for you, and put you in touch with a few foster homes for you to contact. You can go and visit the cat in the foster home and see if you think it's a match. If you fall in love on the spot (so easy with kitties!) we ask you to go home and think about it overnight, since it's an important decision for you and for the kitty. Then, if it's a match, you can bring your cat carrier (and the adoption fee -- which is modest and does not cover all of our expenses) then take your kitty home! We ask all adopters to sign our adoption agreement, which just sets out some basics so we all understand our roles, with the kitty's best interests first and foremost! A day or two later, we'll call you to make sure all is well and provide any suggestions that might be helpful, if needed. The Annex Cat Rescue's motto is "Cat Adoption with a Difference." If the adoption does not work out (a rare occurrence, in part due to our excellent "match-making"!), whatever the reason, the cat will always be welcomed back to our organization. We want the best for our kitties! Please contact us today!Shelter locationThe Annex Cat Rescue is a grassroots community organization. We are 100% non-paid volunteer-run. Our organization attempts to make a real difference for the homeless, stray and abandoned cats in this city through direct intervention and education. Every day, many people turn to us for help when Toronto Animal Services cannot. ACR does *not* run an animal shelter. All of our cats/kittens live in volunteer foster homes across Toronto where they are allowed to blossom and grow in a "home" environment (rather than in cages), and where they receive individual attention and love. While this prevents possible behavioural problems associated with caging animals, this also allows us to get to know each animal intimately and thus we can make excellent matches with adopters. Potential adopters are required to make appointments to view the animals in their respective homes. Our organization is "no kill". This means that cats in our care remain in foster homes are not euthanized (except for dire humane reasons). City shelters do not have such a policy.
