Adopt MIA a Black - with Brown, Red, Golden, Orange or Chestnut German Shepherd

Location:
Langley, BC
Description:

Hi everyone!! My name is Mia and here's my crazy story:PHYSICAL INFO: Breed: German Shepherd mix Age: 3 years 3 months approx. Gender: Female Weight: 66lbs (30 kg) Height: 65cm Current Location: Guadalajara Mexico RESCUE STORY - I am so loving, you would never know my story goes like this...I lived my entire life chained, without food or water, on a roof. My last 'family' used to mistreat me when I asked for food however every doggo needs food!! So eventually I got so starved that I snuck into their home and ate some of their hooman food. For this transgression, my 'owners' decided to euthanize me and end my life. They had no interest in me anymore. So how am I still here you ask? Well I can count my lucky stars because my rescuer overhead the vet telling my owner that I was a good girl and was healthy and shouldn't be put to sleep. My owner didn't care, he just wanted my life to be over. As soon as he left, my rescuer (a literal angel!) swooped in and told the vet she'd take me home. And so my second chance at life began :) TEMPERAMENT - All I need in life is love and food (I'm still catching up okay?!). I am a real lovebug and am super grateful to be alive. I love showing affection and I am a docile, obedient and very sweet doggo. I can be a bit shy but once I come out of my shell I really blossom into the sweetheart I am. You get bonus points from me if you have a stuffed animal or empty water bottle on you!ENERGY LEVEL - LowGETS ALONG WITH: Kids – Unknown - But I am docile and can be tested if required Dogs – Yep!! I get along just fine with other dogs. Cats – I tolerate cats as you can see here (however further testing can be requested) PREY DRIVE - Unknown. I’m not too sure how I’ll react around cats/squirrels/rabbits etc. My adopter needs to be prepared and willing to train me through these behaviours, should they arise.TRAINING: Leash skills – My rescuers say I am doing well with my leash skills as you can see here , however I may need some additional patience and training. House trained – My rescuer says I am very good with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Crate trained – My rescuer says I am very good with this but I may need some additional training and patience. Car rides – I enjoy these! Please Note: WCP Dog Rescue partners with Unleashed Dog Training (Hannah Swain) to offer adopters one training session at a rate of $25. Any subsequent sessions will be offered at a rate of $50. WCP also highly encourages adopters to do some research and training on their own before their dog arrives. HEALTH NOTES: I am spayed and vaccinated. NOTE: dogs from Guadalajara are not microchipped. NOTE: It is not uncommon for rescue dogs to require dental work/cleaning after they are adopted. West Coast Paws does not cover the costs of dental work and/or vet visits. These costs are the financial responsibility of the adopter. ADOPTION FEE: My adoption fee is $650.00 CAD + applicable taxes, which includes my airfare, if a flight volunteer is found directly to Vancouver. ------------------------------------- DISCLAIMER: Please visit wcpdogrescue.com to read about West Coast Paws Dog Rescue and it's adoption process. The info included in each WCP bio is provided to us from the international rescuer. WCP does not have in-person access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions, although we ask for video proof of a dog's attributes wherever possible. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person(s) adopting them and the environment in which they live. WCP is unable to guarantee the accuracy of a dogs age and/or breed. These are strictly "best guesses" based on veterinary exams and their educated estimates. ##1751890##
