If you are an active person looking for an equally active dog then Benson is the one for you. We don't know anything about his past, other than he was abandoned by his previous owner and picked up by animal services. We are still getting to know him but what we do know is he is a happy, bouncy and high energy pup. He is believed to be about 1.5 years old and a small Shepherd mix breed dog weighing only about 40lbs/ 17.6 kg. He will be neutered, microchipped and have his core vaccination prior to finalizing his adoption. He needs a patient adopter who will give him plenty of exercise but will also be dedicated to teaching him the basics and how to relax so he matures into a wonderful companion. He is starting to get the hang of house training and is food motivated so is learning some basic commands but he still has a way to go. This poor guy deserves a second chance and the stability of a family and home of his own. His ideal home would be:- Active family that will give he plenty of exercise - home with access to a fenced yard so can run and play - Handler dedicated to providing positive reinforcement trainingIf you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting him please fill in our online adoption application.
