Mina- Read Bio, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In West Vancouver

Location:
West Vancouver, BC
Description:

Meet Mina,As soon as Mina came into our care we knew there was something special about her. Mina was anxious in shelter and was noticeably pulling out her hair in times of stress. We quickly placed her in a foster home so we could better monitor her needs. With the help of our vet and our incredible foster monitoring her care, we moved forward with additional medical testing. Sadly, Mina's Xray's show that she has IVDD, which is an incredibly rare diagnosis in cats. The good news is we have managed to control her discomfort with pain medication and an arthritis injection that is to be given monthly by a local veterinarian. Her new guardian will have to provide ongoing medical care in order to keep this special needs kitty healthy and free from discomfort. For this reason, Mina would flourish best in a quiet, adult-only home with no other animals. Despite her disability, this spirited girl is a busy bee. She's always looking for the next thing to do, watching for birds through the window, or her absolute favorite- playing with toys! She enjoys lots of space to run and play. Mina adores a wand toy and will launch playfully to catch her prey. Play really is the way to this girl's heart, especially because she can be touch sensitive. Mina loves a snuggle and will sit on your lap, purring the day away! She loves to weave around your legs, chirp and chat to you, and drag around her favorite wand toy. She really enjoys a good chin scratch and especially some catnip - but beware, all bets are off when the catnip comes out, this girl is spicy when she's having fun! If you would like to learn more about Mina's condition please see here :https://www.aspcapetinsurance.com/resources/ivdd-in-cats/We are hopeful that with continued medical care, this kitty will lead an active and healthy life.Mina is currently in a foster home so applicants will be approved prior to a meet.
