At the inn, every room comes with air conditioning, a desk, a terrace with a city view, a private bathroom, a flat-screen TV, bed linen and towels. All units provide guests with a fridge.The Highlander Inn is currently looking for a Motel Managing Supervisor. This individual would report to the Operations Manager, and shall be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the motel’s day-to-day functioning, attending to resident and check-in guests’ inquiries in a professional manner, Co-ordinate, assign and review work and ensures that computer systems, equipment and machinery are functioning smoothly.What will it be like to work for us?One of the fastest growing motels in the Niagara region, The Highlander Inn believes in treating both its guests and employees to a five-star experience.If you are a well organized person, and know what it takes to handle well the day-to-day tasks of a fast growing company, then you may be just the person we are looking for to work as the Motel Managing Supervisor at The Highlander Inn.What will I be doing?Specifically, the right candidate will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Co-ordinate, assign and review the work of clerks and other employees Establish work schedules and procedures and co-ordinate activities with other departments Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and motel policies Assist guests with special needs Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work, when required Requisition materials and supplies Resolve work-related issues, and prepare and submit progress reports This provides a general overview of the role; however, actual duties and responsibilities will vary depending on business needsWhat are we looking for?To successfully fill this role, you should possess the below attitude, behaviors, skills, and values: Work effectively in a professional, fast paced environment 1 year of experience in a similar role Superior organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Mature attitude, professional and strong work ethic Dependability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to multi-task, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects with multiple individuals Has a mindset for helping others, a client service mentality, and a positive attitude Ability to work under pressure, stress, and tight deadlines at times Technical Skills Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) In addition, we look for the demonstration of the following key attributes in our team members: Living the Values Quality Productivity Dependability Customer Focus Teamwork Adaptability What benefits will I receive?You will be offered a competitive pay package.
