Description:Position: Excavating Machine Operator (NOC 73400) Position Available: 2Wage: $35.00 per hour Duration: 40 hours per weekTerms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time Job Duties: Provide support to successful completion of demolition& excavation work. Operate heavy equipment like earth movers, bulldozers, front-end loaders, graders and other demolition and excavating related equipment. Operate the equipment in the right direction and angles to prevent accidents and damage of property. Ensure and operate the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way. Perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment. Regularly inspect equipment for optimal performance. Communicate with management or repair personnel regarding significant repairs or maintenance requirements. Drive and manage the operation of the equipment effectively. Responsively follow signals and directives provided by staff, collaborating closely with team Specific Skills:Operate heavy equipment, Clean, and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, operate computer-controlled equipment, conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment.Job Requirements: Education: Completion of Secondary school education is required Experience: 1 or 2 years of training/experience or combination of bothLanguage: Must be able to communicate in EnglishPersonal Suitability: Team player, Judgement, FlexibilityWork Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Attention to detail Work site environment: Outdoors.Work Setting: Various locations in lower mainland BC.
