Position: Form CarpenterSalary: $30.00 per hour. $45.00 per hour paid for overtime after 40hours per week.Start date: ASAPVacancies: 15 Employment Requirements:(a) Basic English required (CLB Level 4)(b) Completion of secondary school required(c) Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program or three yearsof work experience as a carpenter required Job Duties: Construct, erect, install, maintain and repair structures andcomponents of structures made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweightsteel and other materials; Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determinespecifications and calculate requirements; Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuringtools; Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood,wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials; Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect wallsand roof systems; Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding andhardware; Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures inmills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments; Supervise apprentices and other construction workers May prepare cost estimates for clients.
