Description:

***IN FOSTER*** Introducing Daisy, a delicate petal for your indoor garden! Daisy is a graceful, young calico girl, who was rescued from a multi-cat situation and transferred into our care. Like a late-blooming flower, Daisy took her time to warm up and show her beautiful petals, and there is still more to unravel. With Spring right around the corner, and the cold weather slowly receding, Daisy is now on the search for a homey garden. This little flower has been preparing to be repotted so she can officially plant her roots, and all she needs is a caring family to help her blossom! Slowly but surely, Daisy has been working on her people skills and has begun to sprout. She has gotten more comfortable with people and will stay in the same room as her fosters or their guests, sniffing hands and curiously snooping. She is certainly a curious soul, observing from a distance everything that's happening around her. Though she may initially shy away from direct contact, it's only because she needs to be familiar with you and her surroundings. Daisy has gradually allowed gentle pets to those she trusts and is most comfortable in a familiar environment where she can confidently explore. When she has been temporarily transplanted, such as going to the vet, this flower will become shy and avoid you (believing you to be a traitor), but she will always warm up again when she's back on home turf! Some flowers can't be forced to bloom, and Daisy will require patience, and a bit of work for her to blossom into her true self. Luckily, this vibrant beauty has an adorably expressive face, which makes it easy to gauge her comfort level! Despite initially shying away from physical contact, Daisy is very sweet and gentle. To get on her good side, tasty treats and playtime will do the trick. She thrives on playful interactions, rolling around on the floor to get attention. Daisy loves to whack wand toys and delights in games of chase with the laser pointer, attacking, sliding, and spinning to catch it under her paws. It seems any toy will do when she's feeling playful: sprins, stuffed toys or wands. Reflecting the lifestyle of a flower, her other hobbies include people and bird watching from the window, gazing at her gorgeous self in the mirror, and sleeping in late on weekends. Daisy finds solace in the company of other feline friends, sharing an occasional nap or playing with her resident companions. She's even been known to groom her foster's dog once in a while! Yet, there are times when she would rather ignore them (some alone time is always nice, too). A quiet home without small children would be the best place for Daisy to flourish; she doesn't want children stomping around in her space. We should also note that Daisy has inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), which is well controlled by a lifelong, daily medication and special diet. This good girl happily takes her medicine in a pill pocket, like a treat! Daisy is on the search for a permanent garden where she can establish her roots and bloom into the radiant flower we know she is. If you have the nurturing touch to help her thrive, submit your adoption application!--------------------The adoption fee for a single cat at EHS is $175.
