Job Title: Journeyman - Instrumentation Maintenance Technician Location: Fort McMurray, Oil Sands Region Type: Full-Time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Instrumentation Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Fort McMurray oil sands region. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instrumentation maintenance within oil sands operations or similar industrial settings. Experience in the Fort McMurray oil sands is highly regarded, as it brings valuable insights and adaptability to the unique challenges and opportunities of the region. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance. Diagnose and repair faults in instrumentation systems and equipment. Calibrate and configure instrumentation devices to optimize performance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project goals and operational requirements. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of maintenance strategies and practices. Provide mentorship and guidance to apprentices and less experienced team members, fostering an environment of learning and development. Qualifications: Certified Journeyman in Instrumentation and Control Technician (or equivalent). Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with direct experience in the oil sands industry highly preferred. Strong understanding of instrumentation maintenance practices, safety standards, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting and maintenance. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Commitment to teamwork, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
