Microchipped, DOB: April 28, 2017 Hello, my name is Ruby. I am a big, active, and affectionate kitty. I love to play and get attention. I’m not a lap cat but I will sleep by you on the couch or at your feet at night. I’m a little overweight so I’m on a diet. I am not a fan of it, but my foster mom will tell you how to keep me on track. I need a family that can provide me with lots of toys, playtime, and attention. If I don't get enough interaction I get bored, mischievous, and more prone to “love bites” and knocking things off surfaces. I love affection and will rub up on you or gently paw at you for it. I can be prone to getting over-stimulated and nipping at your hand but my foster mom will tell you my signs and if you stop petting me when you see them I am way less likely to do this. Like I said, if I’m bored I will do this more as well so working in a couple play sessions every day really helps keep my sassy attitude at bay. I am not aggressive in the least, but might not be a good fit for a home with children because of my nipping. My favourite pastime is stealing clothing or blankets and making biscuits on them. I am full of love and energy and want to be your bestest friend!Adoption processAdoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old). This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way! Note: -Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat.
