Born on the streets of Turkey, I had to learn to survive. My days were filled with scavenging for food, avoiding larger dogs, and seeking shelter in hidden corners. I used to live on a university campus and was a community dog. However, it did not take long before university management started to collect all dogs and put them in a municipal shelter, which is simply a death sentence for a dog here. My community of volunteers didn’t let this happen and placed me into a boarding facility.Known for my friendly and outgoing nature, I form strong bonds with my peeps. I am often eager to please. With my glossy coat and playful demeanour, I will become a beloved member of your family, capturing the hearts of everyone in your home.This social butterfly thrives on human interaction and I am always eager to make new friends.My warm, expressive eyes reflect my affectionate nature, and my tail wags enthusiastically at the sight of anyone willing to give me attention. I am highly food-motivated. This can be an advantage in training. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. As they will be taking their dog home straight from the airport, they have a couple of weeks to decide if the dog is a fit. In the rare times the dog isn’t found suitable we will find the dog another home.
