SULUU (The Kangaroo!) | M | 2 YRS | LAB/WHIPPET x | 55LBS | From his foster mom: "Are you looking for a smart, athletic best friend? Well look no more! Suluu the Kangaroo is a beautiful sweet boy with stunning eyes and an appetite for fun! When he first came to his foster mum, he was very reactive and scared, cowering at every noise and startled by runners, cyclists or anything moving quickly. In time, and with positive reinforcement training, he’s relaxed quite a bit. He still can be reactive in high stress environments but he's getting a lot better day by day. He walks well on a halti head collar and enjoys his walks a lot! He generally keeps his distance from other dogs and will need more careful socializing to have some doggo buddies (that said, he has occasionally nuzzled with little pups whilst we're shopping at Winners.))As Suluu the Kangaroo’s name suggests, he is a very bouncy boy, and really catches air when he jumps. He would do well with something like obstacle course training or other activity that requires real athleticism and smarts! Hello Agility! He’s house trained and will sleep through the night, tending to wake you up around 730/8 AM. Suluu is generally well mannered inside the house, ok to be left alone, and isn’t generally destructive there are some toys that look the worse for wear after his affections but they are still remarkably not beheaded or de-limbed! lol). If you like to play with your dog and enjoy wrestling and play fighting this is the dog for you! He can be a bit mouthy and will be gentler if you say "gentle". He alert barks at outside noises (we’re working on it) but I do live in a high density part of Toronto, so I think he’d be happiest in a quieter suburb with a backyard he could run around in! If you bring this sweet boy into your life, he’ll often just sleep contentedly beside you - lovingly looking at you with his irresistible golden toffee eyes" Suluu has been neutered, health checked, and up to date on all vaccinations and is more than ever ready to find his furever home!
