Leia and Padme are bonded approximately 6 year old sisters who need to be adopted together. Their adoption fee will be reduced so that they can stay together. They need a quiet adult only, dog free home. Leia is black with a lighter undercoat. Her coat is more short-haired. She is much more adventurous and is usually the first to come out and investigate something new. She is the one most likely to be out in the open or sit on her tower even with us all in the room, especially if we are relaxing in the living room in the evenings. She is also the first to wander out meowing at meal times. Padme is a little more hesitant and aloof, but very amicable. She has a gorgeous black, medium-haired coat with a small white patch on her chest and has piercing green eyes. We often call her our house panther and we think she is stunning! She follows her sister like a shadow and is happy to let her take the lead. She is slightly more vocal – will meow when she is heading to use the litter box or when her sister is not close by sometimes – but is not obnoxiously loud. Leia and Padme are indoor cats, that are spayed/chipped and up to date on shots and would love a home to call their own. If interested in adopting them please apply. We follow this process as we do have a responsibility to ensure that we place each pet in a home that is suitable and committed to caring for the pet for the rest of its' life. We match our rescues to their new homes, and filling out an adoption application, or proceeding with our adoption process does not guarantee the acceptance of an adoption application. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant for any reason, at our discretion. Please note that once we begin an application, we hope to have it completed within a couple days, based upon availability, particularly of your references. We are just as excited to find our pets their forever home as you are to adopt! All GRAB animal require an adoption donation. Our adoption donations help us to pay for the many costs associated with rescuing animals, including veterinary bills, food, litter and other pet supplies, and administrative costs. The majority of our animals are adopted out for less than what it cost us to rescue them, and we do not make money on our pets. All adoption donations go directly back into our account which allows us to continue rescuing animals. Currently our adoption donation for dogs is $375 and for cats is $175. Rabbits are adopted out for $60 and are spayed or neutered. Please ask us about adoption fees for other small pets, including guinea pigs, degus, etc. For dogs and cats, our adoption donation includes a veterinary exam, vaccines, deworming and flea treatment (if needed), spay or neuter and microchip.Shelter locationOur pets are all located in foster homes and an application must be approved in order to meet one of our pets.
