Horchata, Domestic Shorthair For Adoption In Toronto, Ontario

Price:
$200
Location:
Toronto, ON
Description:

DOB 17-May-2022Horchata is being fostered with his sibling's at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.Hi, I’m Horchata! I’m a 3 month old male kitten. I am a dark brown tabby with a black stripe all the way down my back. I am a very playful and loving cat so if you are searching for a lap warmer while you sit at your computer, then I might be the one for you!I am a friendly kitten that does not like to be alone. I know that it’s rude to climb a human’s leg so if I want to be picked up, I will sit at your feet and chirp loudly. At this point, it would be best to put me on your lap; otherwise I’ll keep meowing louder and louder until I get what I want. Even though I am a great lap cat, I don’t really like to be picked up and held.Although I enjoy sitting on you and getting head scratches, I also love to play. My favourite toys are the ball tower and noisy wand toys, these can keep me entertained for ages. I have a lot of kitten energy, so it would be best if I were adopted into a home with another young cat for me to play with (my brothers Churro and Tamal are available!). I also like to climb and look out the window, so if my furever home had a cat tree and a nice windowsill, that would be the best!I am still learning that I should not use my claws and teeth when playing with humans. Because of this, I should not be adopted into a household with young children. In my foster home there are many other cats and a big dog. I really want to play with the cats and I don’t pay much attention to the dog, so if you already have another pet I’m sure I would get along great with them as long as we were properly introduced. I have no issues with using the litter box, eating, or drinking. If I sound like the kitten for you and you want to see more pictures and videos of me and my siblings, check out my foster mum’s Instagram feed@blindandbobtail https://www.instagram.com/blindandbobtail/?hl=enAdoption process**PLEASE NOTE: adoptions are ongoing during COVID-19, but we have adjusted our process to ensure the safety of our foster parents and adopters. Please see up-to-date info at torontocatrescue.ca Decided on the cat or kitten you would like to adopt? Please call 416-538-XXXX, or email XXXX@torontocatrescue.ca.An adoption counsellor will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a "purr-fect" fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well. You will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your cat home with you in a safe carrying case.Adoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $225 for kittens (under 8 months old). This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!Note: 1. Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adoption fee of $200 or $225.2. Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $125 per cat vs. $200 per cat.
